Non-volatile holographic storage in doubly doped lithium niobate crystals

Photorefractive materials are being widely investigated for applications in holographic data storage1. Inhomogeneous illumination of these materials with an optical interference pattern redistributes charge, builds up internal electric fields and so changes the refractive index.

Introducing the ZPrinter 450. Now, in the Centre for scientific visualization we can print 3D colour models quickly and affordably.





The ZPrinter 450's custom software creates models from 3D CAD files and can even convert 2D CAD designs into print-ready files without requiring any technical or specialized user training.

Material Recycling

The Z Corp 3D printer is the only 3D Printer that reuses all of its unused material. All other 3D printers have waste products that must be disposed of. Some of the competitor’s waste materials have environmental issues and require special deposal procedures. Z Corp materials are all environmentally friendly and office/classroom safe. The unused material is used over and over making it the only “green” rapid prototyping machine on the market. This also saves our customers a lot of time and money.
